The Battleaxe Band is an all-female string band based out of Upstate South Carolina. Members include Amy Buckingham on fiddle and guitar, Lucy Allen on guitar, Brooke Lauer on banjo, and Nancy Hamilton on upright bass. The band loves to play hard-driving Old-Time dance tunes as well as singer-songwriter songs. The Battleaxes, are best known for their powerful vocal harmonies.
